Family-owned and operated since 1926... Along with these commodities, there was a need for the ordering of horse-drawn rakes, bale movers, cultivators and other related farm equipment. As the units arrived in Manning, a facility was needed to store and distribute them. A warehouse was rented from an elevator company on the Milwaukee railroad and merchandise was stored until it was needed. Later, the Farmer's Union moved to a second location along Madison Street in Manning. In 1930, Willis Puck, the only son of Albert Puck, graduated from Manning High School and soon thereafter joined his father in the Farmer's Union Association. Willis remained active in the family business throughout his lifetime. Puck Implement Company began operation at it's present location on Highway 141 in Manning in 1950. In 1971, another generation of Pucks joined the company when Willis partnered with his sons, Warren and Ken. Warren and Ken continue to operate Horizon Equipment, formerly known as Puck Implement, with Warren's two sons, Steve and Nate Puck, and Ken's son, Andrew Puck. The implement has expanded to operate in it's current six locations in Iowa: Adair, Audubon, Avoca, Manning, Missouri Valley and Woodbine. In 2001, the Pucks celebrated 75 years of business. Through the years, Puck Implement has seen some changes, but one thing still remains the same, and that is our ongoing comittment to our customers. We are committed to providing the highest-quality farm equipment and superior product support. This includes the best parts availability, the most responsive service support and the best product information in the industry. We promise to deliver John Deere genuine value to farmers, ranchers and equipment operators.
